In this week’s blog, I’m reflecting on my choreographic journey, what has gone well/issues which may have arisen, and what I might do differently in the future.
Below is a diagram of the journey of my choreography over the last few weeks.

(Edited): This is also from 'Inside Out'; when the memory is replayed after being triggered by an emotion felt in the present which is connected to the memory
Throughout this journey, some issues have arisen such as one student being absent. This meant that I had to change areas in my choreography where we would each be facing different directions and then learn the choreography on the opposite side. Although this couldn’t be helped, it slowed the process down. An individual issue I faced was not being as prepared as I’d have liked to be able to be confident in what it is I want in my choreography, so in the future I’d ensure that I knew exactly what I wanted. (Edited): To do achieve this I would film myself doing the choreography so I could watch it back knowing what details I want to be included - for example arm placement, turnout/turn-in.
Below is a mind map of our choreographic process as a group and how we created our final piece.

Discuss where your images are from, and what they are to show how they relate to you work, include in-text citations. How will you develop the work to know as you say ‘exactly what you want to do‘ before you enter the studio. Cite your own images as well. You mention develop your creativity in choreography. What elements of the class workshops can you call upon to develop this in the future?
